The combination that matters

Most generator sellers are one thing or the other. Online retailers ship boxes and have no ability to install, permit or service what they sell. Electricians install equipment they buy through a distributor and have no dealer relationship behind it.

We are both. The dealer authorization means factory equipment, factory parts and valid factory warranty. The electrical license means the company that sold it to you is the company that installs it, pulls the permit, meets the inspector and answers the phone in year three.

How we sell

We publish what we are able to. Every residential and light commercial generator and every transfer switch carries its equipment price on the page, to the cent. Open-set diesel and permanently installed units above 100kW are quoted directly rather than listed, because they are specified against your service and switchgear rather than sold off a shelf. Our Cummins mobile trailer-mounted generators, 12kW to 200kW, are the exception: they are complete rental packages sold to rental companies and commercial buyers, so every one carries a published price. We publish the rest because you will find those numbers anyway, and a dealer who hides the equipment price is usually hiding more than that.

We do not quote installation without seeing the property. Installation price is driven by physical facts — gas meter capacity, line runs, panel location, local permitting — and a number produced without seeing them is either padded or provisional.

The dealer and the installer

UTS ElectricPros is the authorized Cummins dealer. That is the relationship that gets you factory equipment bought direct from Cummins, factory parts, a valid factory warranty that we can authorize ourselves, and Cummins factory extended warranties in 5, 7 and 10 year terms. It is the business this site belongs to.

The installation is performed by Clements Electric, the assumed name (dba) under which UTS ElectricPros, LLC operates its licensed electrical contracting crews from Grand Prairie. One company and one license, under two names: the dealership sells the equipment, Clements Electric installs and services it. Every installation is done by our own crews; we do not use subcontractors. When UTS ElectricPros bought the Clements Electric business, it bought its history and its customer reviews along with it. UTS ElectricPros, LLC is owned by UTS, LLC, which also operates UTS BuildPros and UTS ServicePros; the dealership was formed as its own LLC so the electrical license sits in a single entity.

Most of this industry splits those roles across strangers. Online retailers ship a box and leave you to find an electrician. Lead sites sell your phone number to whoever pays most. Here the sale and the installation sit inside one relationship, so nobody gets to point at the other when something needs sorting out later.

An online retailer with local stock

UTS ElectricPros is an online retailer and authorized Cummins dealer. Equipment ships from stock at the Cummins Regional Distribution Center in Dallas, Texas, inside the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, not from an out-of-state warehouse. An order placed online is delivered direct to your door, in Texas or any other state. For an installation in Dallas-Fort Worth, our own crews collect the unit at the distribution center, deliver it to your property and install it. There is no showroom or retail counter, which is part of why the prices are what they are.

Neither of our offices is a walk-in showroom. That keeps retail overhead out of the price.

Each guide shows the date it was published and the date it was last reviewed, and cites the Cummins document, statute or utility rule its figures come from.

The installation work itself is done by our own licensed electricians under TECL #40628, held by UTS ElectricPros, LLC and checkable on the TDLR public license search. We do not publish the names of our field crews.
